A few days ago I added the website translator plugin and began contributing some suggestions.
We would love to ask our users around the world to add suggestions in their languages for many technical terms that occur in our content (social sciences), for correction/approval by other trusted members of our user community. This could be a powerful way to engage our users and add to Google's language expertise. It would be especially neat if we could know who suggested what, to develop the social potential of this system. The project is on hold until I can get the Translation Manager to work. As several others have noted in this forum, the Translation manager does not display the suggestions for approval. This seems to be a FAQ that needs an answer! Presumably this system has worked, since it was released to the public, but for some or all of us on this forum it is not currently working. If the system is working, how do I get suggestions to show up in the Translation manager? Did this work in the past; is it just temporarily broken? Am I doing something wrong? Can I help?
