There's been no progress on this in two years.

Google Translation is pretty aggressive in it's adding of inline styles, 
with (as far as I can tell) no countermeasure that works (CSS, inline CSS 
and even jQuery to strip out inline styles have not worked for me).

Obviously, the Google Translation programmers have added this in good faith 
to make this feature work properly, but they should give those of us 
(webmasters/web designers) who need it, the control to manage our designs 
ourselves.

If anyone in this topic has managed to find a solution please let me know.
