I love the google translate speech engine. I use it all the time to hear
authentic pronunciations of words. For example, I was recently going
through a list of french
words
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_French_words_and_phrases_used_by_English_speakers

and I wanted to hear the proper pronunciations of each words. To do that, I
selected the word, copied it, pasted it into Google Translate, and then
clicked the little speak button.

I am wondering if there is a faster way to do this. Ideally, I just select
text on any page and tap a hot key in my web browser and presto I hear the
authentic pronunciation. Is this possible?

Is there software that does this? If not, could a developer build something
like this on top of Google Translate?

Thanks
