This is fundamental stuff in Slovene. "Sestri sta v sobi" does not mean "Sisters are in the room." It means "Two sisters are in the room." Colloquially, the feminine plural (three or more) is used, but in the standard language, the dual is firmly preserved.
Also, while "lahko," strictly speaking, serves a function similar to the word "can," it is extremely ephemeral in its usage and, used on its own, it can mean "easy," "sure," "I/you/we/they/he/she/it can," and so forth.
