One thing that might explain it, is that Adobe is in the "take over the world" business model right now.
And they just came out with COMODO which is a Community kit I believe, and I've not heard much about Google Social Apps lately. I wonder if some kind of deal is in the works in the background. As long as Adobe doesn't begin to compete against it's own developer community like Microsoft has in the 1990's, then I'm cool. Adobe was just once an imaging company, hard to compete against an artist, but when it comes to developers, I'm already seeing Adobe including features from people in the same market.
