I have a CSS button (style with background image; additional separate :hover and :active attributes). It works fine in MSIE 7, FF3, Safari. When the page takes a trip through Google Translate, the button does not survive. I have tried putting CSS statements in the <head> as opposed to putting them in linked external style sheet. I have also tried adding a <base...> statement in the <head> and I have tried making links to the external resources absolute. These experiments have not helped.
Has anyone else seen a CSS button fail after Google Translate renders the page? I have not read the Google Groups rules so I have not assumed it is appropriate to post a link to the page. If it is appropriate, I will post the link; please advise.
