Having removed most of the French words from the page, google still thinks the site is French.

" - are you sure? 1) The page is marked as <html lang="en"> 2) There is a meta tag <meta name="Language" content="English"> - I would have thought that either of the above two measures would have solved the issue. So the question I now pose is if I add '<meta name="google" value="notranslate">' will this mean google will correctly classify my site as English? Or will it just stop attempting to translate the site into French?
