Having removed most of the French words from the page, google still
thinks the site is French.

" We only display the "Translate this page" link when we're certain
about the language of the selected page. " - are you sure?

1) The page is marked as <html lang="en">

2) There is a meta tag <meta name="Language" content="English">

- I would have thought that either of the above two measures would
have solved the issue.

So the question I now pose is if I add '<meta name="google"
value="notranslate">' will this mean google will correctly classify my
site as English?
Or will it just stop attempting to translate the site into French?
