I'm not sure I understand your question..
Do use queries you must have a datasource. If you have one, using queries is
only a matter of deciding what you want, and reading the documentation.
Queries / data requests work with any chart, as long as the data comes in
the format (in terms of number of columns, column types, column order) that
the chart expects, so if you already figured out what kind of data you're
giving the orgchart, having that data come from a datasource should be easy.

If you don't have a datasource, then I don't see what you mean. Perhaps you
want the data to come from a spreadsheet?
