The owner of the IP on this visualization is indeed Greg Schechter. Google
has no rights in this or any other 3rd party visualization by default unless
we are expressly given these rights by the owner.

In this particular case, following your request we approached Greg and he
has agreed for you to create derivative work provided you give him credit
for his work.
When you are done, and have followed these guidelines please submit the
visualization to the gallery at the appropriate
link<http://code.google.com/apis/visualization/documentation/submit.html>

As a general note - our Terms of service require you, the submitter, to make
sure you are not infringing on any other party's rights to a certain
visualization when you post it on the gallery.
