It would be very nice to have this as a first-class GWT citizen, or at least, able to load locally without a dependency on Google.com. I'm sure this has been asked a few times, but couldn't find a definitive answer as to "why not", beyond "to ensure the version is up to date". I'm sure those who would want to use the Visualization API "off the grid" are capable enough to ensure that they periodically update the code. Plus, for some mission critical applications (and applications in regulated environment such as pharmaceutical manufacturing), unplanned updates to the API for which the developer has no control could wreak havoc.
So, can we start a dialog to enable off-the-net access to the Visualization API's capabilities?
