I was aware of the charts API and I am using that for those that have
equivalents in the charts API, however there is no real equivalent for
the GEO Map visualization in the chart API that can be configured to
look the same. (Restrictions on Image size and no equivalent of the
legend).

There must be a way of doing this because it is done in the Google
Analytics pages, if you select export to PDF you get a PDF document
containing an exact image of a Geo Map including the legend, this is
not possible with the chart API.
