VizGuy & Co.,
I've been using the Release Candidate ('1.1') of the
AnnotatedTimeLine and I like the improvements in the annotations
section save a few drawing issues.
First, the bottom "scroll button" - the box at the bottom of the
annotations section with the downward-pointing triangle in it, it's
enabled when there's no way to scroll down. For example, if there are
only two annotations in the list, there's more than enough room to
show them, and therefore the button should be disabled, but it's not.
Next, and this is bigger than the first - the *location* of the
"scroll down" button is a few pixels *too low*. It's getting "chopped
off" in my div.
The real problem is that when I hit it the entire AnnotatedTimeLine
*moves* in the div a few pixels *upward* to show the complete button.
That messes up the top scroll button, etc.
So the best solution would be to move the lower button up a few
pixels.
Next, the 'displayAnnotationsFilter' is a GREAT feature, but the
right-hand edge is not being drawn in the div - similar to the "scroll
down" button in the annotations. If it were shortened, or moved to the
left a few pixels, then it'd be great.
These are the things that I noticed with the Release Candidate, but
I have a few questions as well:
Is there a way to format the date of the annotation? If it's showing
only a day, then all the dates are the same and you can't see the time
differences.
Is there a way to "prefill" the 'displayAnnotationsFilter' box? That
would be a great feature.
Anyway, that's about it for what I've noticed.
Thanks for all the great work.
Bob
