In a project last year I was wanting to do MotionChart playback over the course of a day. As it doesn't accept time data at this stage, I used a quick and dirty hack: I represented the time of day as a year in YYYY format, e.g. 11:30am became the year 1130. For me this worked acceptably well, although you do of course have the problem that during playback the "minutes" run from 00 to 99 rather than to 59. My data was hourly, so this wasn't a big problem. As I say, a quick and dirty hack, but it worked for me.
