I have no idea what the limits are under any particular chart but it strikes me that millions of datapoints are simply too much. I'm no expert but I think the Viz phantoms are gonna suggest aggregating or sampling your dataset.
I've been doing this interactively (HTML / PHP / MySQL interface) with large datasets and this works just fine. The users are also pleased - they like being able to focus their analyses on segments of the complete dataset instead of trying to jam everything into one chart.
