I like motion chart and I think is a wonderful tool. Nevertheless I found recently a limitation which it hearts me and I am surprised that nobody talk about it before. I am talking about the ability of rendering monthly data by its own. If I want to render montly data now, according to the data format (http://code.google.com/apis/visualization/documentation/gallery/ motionchart.html#Data_Format) I have to choose between Yearly, daily, weekly and quaterly. None is good for me, yearly is to wide, daily will generate too many entries and when using trails for 10 years converted to dates flash will explode, weekly and quaterly mean preparing the data to other formats.
