I have been banging my head against the wall all day trying to figure out an easy (or even a hard) way to do this.
I have an array of names and addresses in a Spreadsheet that I would like to display on a map... (that's the simple part) What I am having trouble with is that I would like these displayed on MY map. I have created in "My Places" within Google Maps, a territory map that I have personally sectioned off my city and surrounding areas into Burroughs. Using the Google Map Gadget I am easily able to add the addresses onto the map, but I need to have my map overlaid or preferably (but not required) editable. I have downloaded the KML file of my map and would love to just be able to access the source code for the Google Map Gadget and pop in my map in place of the default map, I am not very coding savvy skilled however and could use some assistance. As a second desire of mine. I would love to be able to use this map to return data back into the spreadsheet. Ergo, let's say I enter an address that falls into region "Downtown" on my map, I can have that information populated back into a spreadsheet with the word "Downtown". I know Google and I know this can be done. Please somebody help me, it is beyond my current comprehension. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Visualization API" group.
