We are not currently developing the annotated time line so it would probably not be available there. In other charts, like the LineChart inside the corechart package, we also do not support continuous axis with gaps, but we do support categorical data where you can choose the categories you would like, and therefore remove unwanted ones (like weekends). We will be adding annotations to that line chart and maybe this would be a good replacement for your needs.
