firstly, in regard to your crashing browser. does it happen in other browsers? what IE version are you running? secondly, in regard to your annotations. the annotation comes in various ways. it can come as a point on the graph or as a vertical line. you can check the code and samples here: http://code.google.com/apis/chart/interactive/docs/roles.html in regard to your request for not being only A,B,C just place your text under the "annotation" attribute and not only under the "annotationText". bear in mind that it could look kinda bad on your chart.
