Unfortunately, there is no way to display country names directly on the map.
FYI, GeoMaps are deprecated, see GeoCharts<https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/gallery/geochart>for their (Flash-free) replacement (you can't put country names on GeoCharts either, though).
