I found the solution myself...

Make 2nd Column look like this: "yyyy-mm"

2011-01
2011-01
2011-01
2011-02
2011-02
2011-02
..
..

and so on... and this way... the Chart shows Jan 2011, Feb 2011, Mar 2011
and so on for the time line... and it doesn't interpolate every single day
of the month.. but jump from month to month.

Further comment... there seems to be a bug or missing feature in motion
chart to let the chart have initial state... you can only set the initial
state when you create the chart. So, if you have already created the
chart... and you have copied the stateinfo from the bottom right wrench
icon, advanced and copy the text... you can't do anything with it...

You will have to keep the text copied... delete chart... and insert
gadget... and choose motion chart..
then in the default state... paste this text in the box. this will work.

Also.. using Insert Chart -> Motion Chart... doesn't have this default
state text box... So, only option is to use Insert Gadget... and I don't
know what Google is going to do with Gadgets in Year 2013... as this
feature is not available in insert chart.

Hope google fixes this... and if anyone find the above comments helpful...
please remember to post your comments here.
