You can use the 
google.visualization.data.group<https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/reference#google_visualization_data_group>method
 to group data by month and display that way.  Conceivably, you could 
format the output for display on an AnnotatedTimeline, but if you are 
thinking of alternatives, I personally favor using LineCharts over ATL 
charts, and would be happy to help you migrate your code if you'd like to.
