I was also wondering about this. It should be pretty trivial (but annoying)
to change legacy code, but having the table use the proper HTML elements
would help in creating easier to maintain style (thead, tfoot, th, etc.).
e.g.
#table .google-visualization-table-tr-head { color: blue }
vs
#table thead tr { color: blue }
