To make the steppedArea series work, you have to use a discrete ("string"
type) axis, so you should use the chart's "view" parameter to transform the
data back into a string, like this: http://jsfiddle.net/asgallant/UC5nG/10/.
There are a couple other changes in that fiddle related to the chart and
control width; see the notes I left in the options.
