First, set the animation option:
animation: {
duration: 1000 // duration in milliseconds
}
The makes the chart animate any changes in data from one draw to the next
(it does not animate the first draw). Different charts handle the
animation in different ways, so you might get the effect you want by
default, or you might not. Try it out, and if it doesn't quite work the
way you want it to, maybe we can figure out a way to hack it.
