I was wondering why the node size (or height in this case) is not equal to 
all links arriving and departing from it. 

For instance have a look at the second example ("Multilevel Sankeys") here: 
https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/gallery/sankey. The 
first node in the second column is Portugal. The size of all links arriving 
is bigger than all links departing, which is what I don't understand. Can I 
change the code so that the links on both sides of each node match in size 
(if there is the same amount)?
