You can do this by changing the "refreshInterval" parameter to something lower. It's currently at 5, which means that your gauges update every 5 seconds. However, it seems that this issue is on the spreadsheets side. Perhaps you should try creating a new Sheet, and if that doesn't work, then let me know and I'll file a bug against Sheets.
