Chris,

We fully understand your reasons for needing a frozen/locked version to
depend on, and we basically agree.  Our main issue at this time is that we
will need to change the way we deploy the software to allow this.

Until we can make the rather large change to our deployment mechanism, we
rely on testing to catch and fix problems before they become public, and
before 1.1 becomes 1.0 in each release cycle.  It would help if we could
get more people to use 1.1, especially in their test environments.

While you can load "1.40", it actually falls back to the same as 1.1 at
this time.
