Tom, unfortunately, we can't back out the v41 release due to an unknown problem. So we are stuck making fixes going forward. If you load "1" (outside of google), you will get the same thing as loading "1.0".
Code snippets will be fine, but please include enough html and css to reproduce it. If you can reproduce a simple case in jsfiddle, that would be best.
