The Google Charts project is alive and well. We do have a deprecation notice on our Image Charts <https://developers.google.com/chart/image/>, and as the notice says, we do have the right to turn that service off without notice, but *have no plans to do so*. We feel that having server-side charts can be useful and that the Image Charts have a number of charts that we ideally want to provide replacements for before we turn the service down. That said, it may not be possible to do so, and we may wind up exercising our right to turn the service down before we ideally would; so if you do intend to use the Image Charts, do so with caution and awareness.
