There were several changes made to the table chart in the last release, v41 about 1.5 months ago. So that update is probably contributing to what you see. Perhaps in your actual page, you have some other styles which are affecting the table layout. In particular, any styles on elements internal to the table elements, or any constraining height or width styles outside the table container, might cause some confusion in the styles.
