There's not really any way to directly control the legend position, but it seems to me like the legend and pie chart are already close enough together. Why do you want to move them closer? Can you share an example of what your chart looks like? Perhaps your height is too small, which will shrink the pie chart? If that's the case, then you should either decrease your width or increase your height.
