Sorry, there's no progress tracker. Each release should bring us closer and closer to feature parity, but other things may take priority.
It looks like the second issue that you're seeing is a bug that causes the 'over' event to get retriggered when setSelection is called. This is certainly a bug, and not just a matter of feature parity, so I'll look into this.
