Hi, I did a fairly thorough writeup of when data may be sent outside of the network here <https://github.com/google/google-visualization-issues/issues/2169>. I believe that that question in the FAQ is more pertinent to our deprecated image charts, which render a chart on the server, and therefore require the data to be sent to said server.
