Hi Simon, So what I was seeing as black-background tooltips you were seeing as the yellow-background tooltips. So the style can be affected, but I don't know if it can be made invisible. This popup, which comes from the title attribute of the marker elements, has been a "feature" of the Maps api for a long time, and the Map chart has no control over it. I would be surprised if the Maps folks are not aware of it, and maybe they have a solution that avoids creation of the title attribute, but you'll have to ask them.
