OK. I recreated what I could on codepen, but could not replicate the 
problem. Will keep trying.

However, I did some more digging using the developer tools in Chrome and a 
scroll event listener from the "gstatic" package was modifying the "top" 
attribute.

though it does not look very suspicious and I am not sure why this piece is 
not suspect in my recreation.
