I have checked it is not the & embedded in the v: key. I also put in a 
check to only show 2 levels if the array is more than 300 elements and it 
now renders :) . So it could be size of the array, but it could also be 
some "overflow" problem with the size of the v: key...because I concat long 
strings to build the key. I should try changing that to be the index from 
the array which will be much smaller in size and theory the same results.
