I reported this issue to G Suite support. They said it's not their problem and to post here.
When you publish a geo chart in Google Sheets (in G Suite or consumer GMail), the provided link goes to a blank page and the embed code displays an empty frame. <https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-79e0vxJcBHw/WzJHK4bjgZI/AAAAAAAADgk/wI0ayXlRv6sjgVS9Dy0jqEuLjE9DuwI6gCLcBGAs/s1600/google-sheets-geo-chart-embed-code.png> The same thing happens when you try to add a geo chart to new Google Sites -- a blank frame.
