If the app uses the same website to generate the GeoChart, then it could
use the same mapsApiKey, assuming you restricted access to that website.

I don't know if there is a way to restrict access based on user
authentication, but there ought to be.  If so, you would have to add access
to the key, via the Google Cloud dashboard, so that the person you share
with can also use it.
