Here's an update on my situation:
I turned on some more verbose logging and found that my robot is
appending the correct data that should tell the wave to append the
gadget:
{"javaClass":"com.google.wave.api.Gadget","properties":{"map":
{"<MYDATA>":"{\<DATA FOR MY GADGET>}}","url":"http://wave-
jon.appspot.com/gadgets/
MyGadget.xml"},"javaClass":"java.util.HashMap"},"type":"GADGET"},
So I'm guessing that there amy be a bug on the Wave client side?
I think this problem may relate to the issue and fix noted in this
thread, but not 100% sure:
