If not a google calendar, than a calendar that is part of the wave, to which people can do... something?
Ideas: Mark available/not available/maybe days by a 3-state toggle on click. Fill in events by click, then simple form for title, location, time Make the produced calendar output an ical or other kind of subscribable feed that we can connect to google calendar.
