There is some discussion regarding Data Documents on the attachments section of the waveprotocol.org pages (http://www.waveprotocol.org/ whitepapers/google-wave-attachments), but this is only providing information related to the attachment usage scenario. It would be interesting to see if there was any implicit namespace usage/ convention, size limitations or performance considerations associated with their usage.
