I think the strike-out appearance is normal (it's showing you what changed
in the wave since you last viewed it).  Regarding BLIP_SUBMITTED, if two
people are actively editing, and one person finishes and clicks Done, the
other person could literally be between two keystrokes when the
BLIP_SUBMITTED event is sent to your robot, which would be unpleasant for
them if your robot replaces all of the text with something new.  Targeted
edits are much preferred, I think.
