Since posting the above, I have looked around a bit more and found that the limit is apparently set at 100kb, which is causing a lot of problems for people, especially those trying to write collaboratively, for example, who find that they are exceeding the limit very quickly. This is similar to the problem I have, where my Paginator Gadget is able to handle very large amounts of text (tested with 30,000+ words, no problem) but is restricted by the wave size limit. The text file with 30,000+ words is about 160kb in size, which doesn't seem that excessive to me, but it exceeds the limit and shows the error message when you look at the wave. And, of course, it stops all further editing and becomes read only. (Actually, maybe that could be a useful trick for deliberately forcing a read only wave!)
The issue also appears about 4 times in the "Product Ideas for Google Wave" list, although that list does apparently include more than 10,000 ideas, so I can see how it might get overlooked. http://productideas.appspot.com/#9/e=224f1&t=limit I voted for them anyway. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Wave API" group.
