Greetings,

A colleague and I have submitted a Wave-related proposal to the
Digital Media & Learning Competition (DMLC), which is supported by the
MacArthur Foundation. Briefly, our proposal is to use Wave to enhance
STEM education by creating interfaces to assist in continuous
formative evaluation of collaborative knowledge work. For example, if
a group of students turns in a chemistry lab report today, the teacher
sees it as single artifact. However, we understand collaborative
writing as a continuous thread, and we envision a learning environment
in which students, teachers, and the community can work together on
enhancing students' experience, with Wave providing the technology
infrastructure.

All the DMLC proposals are open for public commentary at
http://www.dmlcompetition.net/pligg/index.php. Our specific proposal
is at http://www.dmlcompetition.net/pligg/story.php?title=269.

We would greatly appreciate any feedback from the Wave development
community on this research proposal.

Cheers,
 -Paul
