Good thought, I tried that too to confirm that teamcity wasn't setting 
anything funny. Still passed, not sure what is up.
Other details that may or may not help:

$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_35"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_35-b10)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 20.10-b01, mixed mode)

$ ant -version
Apache Ant(TM) version 1.8.2 compiled on December 3 2011

$ uname -a
Linux ubuntu 3.2.0-55-generic #85-Ubuntu SMP Wed Oct 2 12:29:27 UTC 2013 
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

$ python --version
Python 2.7.3
