For that case it wasn't very difficult to patch though: https://github.com/rdwallis/gwt-storage/commit/b8135545f3be843821a674fd6e01d784b4eeb0b2 although it does mean that you can't use the same dependency for 2.6.1 and 2.7 so I'm in favor of a deprecated method if that's possible.
