Hi gwtlearner, As Thomas mentioned, Out-of-Process Hosted Mode is one of the next big things we're working on, so you can expect it in our next major release.
In the out-of-process model, the hosted mode shell will work with a browser plug-in through IPC rather than embed and drive an instance as in the current hosted mode model. This should solve your craving for using Chrome as your hosted mode browser.
