We on the team for Lombardi's Blueprint application have just begun the upgrade from GWT 1.4 to 1.5 and we've gathered some performance numbers that some of you might find interesting. We only tested for IE6 since that's our slowest platform, but it looks like the upgrade gets us around a 10% boost with very little work and to the congratulations of the GWT compiler team.
Blueprint is a fairly complicated application that is very performance demanding on Javascript and IE6 in particular which is why we've been paying attention to the improvements made in 1.5. For those interested, I've written up a few more details about the upgrade on our blog that you can find here: http://development.lombardi.com/?p=50. If anyone else has any performance data for the upgrade, I'm sure we'd all welcome seeing it. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Web Toolkit" group.
