99.9% of the time, GWT RCP is used when you have Java on the server side. I don't know much about using Python on the server, but it seems to me that "shoe-horning" GWT RPC on top of a Python web layer would eventually be COUNTER PRODUCTIVE to the portability/reusability of the web layer. I would just send back JSON, and use the GWT JSON classes to process that instead.... IMHO.
