I am new to Gwt and Maven and I am trying to figure out a configuration to develop gwt apps in Netbeans making use Maven2 as part of my CI process and was wondering whether anyone had any advice.
I have done some preliminary investigation and my first thoughts are that I should be using the following tools: Mevenide (http://mevenide.codehaus.org/) for the Netbeans ide integration and invoking Maven 2 Gwt-maven - (http://code.google.com/p/gwt-maven/) Maven 2 plugin allowing processing of GWT projects including running the GWT developer tools I believe that I should not need GWT4NB as the integration with the GWT Shell etc should be handled by GWT-Maven. Apart from requesting any general advice I had a few questions. What is the best methodology for creating a new gwt project using maven 2? Should I be using an archetype? I have seen there are archetypes included with Mevenide and also a few floating around on the gwt-maven site, can anyone recommend one? Is anyone else using this configuration? Have I missed any tools I should be using? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Ideally I would like to develop in Netbeans as opposed to another ide.
